Come on John you're in your corner pouting. You've convinced yourself it is all the fault of republicans - but so what? Obama has been dealt a hand now play it. Whats the alternative; the dems just give up, piss off people who don't understand this health care bill and who then throw dems out of office come November? Is that much of a solution? You're kidding yourself if you think that won't happen.

Why not try something different? It might be too late to deal with a republican (think Olympia who likely could win no matter what she did) but it sure isn't too late to twink the bill to make it acceptable and then let republicans filibuster.

We might just as well shut down Washington DC and save some money if a majority of 59 can't rule. Obama has to figure a way around this - and pouting in the corner will just leave people in The Center voting republican. If a majority of 41 works, you don't think dems will use it next time they have a "majority" of less than 50? I'll bet republicans figure out a way around it.........
