(I have been too busy to post but I do try to lurk a bit from time to time.) (g)

Even though the market has treated me well this past two years (gold stocks), like many others, I have been sickened by the staggering display of arrogance, stupidity, and unrelenting greed displayed by the killers of the golden goose, the Wall Street bankers. That they would not now be prosecuted (but in fact would actually be "saved" via tax payers' money) after pillaging much of the planet, speaks to the incredible ownership of the politicos they have attained.

I have many American friends. The vast majority of them found it impossible to believe that a depression would be an inevitable consequence of Greenspan's decades-long,debt-sponsored partying. For this, they paid a horrendous price.
Am I suggesting that they were lacking in foresight? Not at all, as even the most intelligent investor had difficulty in recognizing the party as a crime-in-process.

The only thing that gives me a bit of encouragement is that Americans are finally wrapping their minds around what has been going on and are starting to vent their anger. Let's hope this intensifies. The rallying cry should be, "Where are the indictments!".
