Sid:

That was just a little banter with a cheerleader for ALSC.

I will have to sell tomorrow to set up tax loss and provide loss basis for any forthcoming class action shareholder suit. Whether I wil be buying tomorrow I don't know. I'll have to sleep on it.

I have seen many, many restatements of revenue, earnings, inventory etc over the years with little long term effect if the company was sound. It comes down to questions of "were the company's actions intentional", "did they admit the problem as soon as it came to their attention", "did they take appropriate corrective action", "did the company have a history of previous problems of a similar nature".

No question the company takes a hit tomorrow. Whether it continues will be based on how up front they are in admitting their problems and what visible actions they are taking. I don't think anything that has been said changes their business picture for 1998.

Like I said, I'll have to sleep on it.
