True, but they do send the money home - in any case they are way better educated than let say the Mexicans and Central Americans coming to the US.

Secondly EU basic education is still superior to the US whose growing almost illiterate minorities enabled BO to be elected.

Lack of proper education is more severe than other maladies plaguing the EU including low birth rate.

IMHO the key of Greece recovery lies between others in the recovery of the major Nordic EU countries including UK and Scandinavia ... and woudl not dismiss Russia recoverey - if tourism will reach levels of 2008 or higher Greece with some imposed belt tightening will recover as will the remainders of the PIIGS – fact is that Ireland stabilized and did not follow Iceland into the abyss.

Further Greece and Portugal must diversify their economies and put more efforts into high tech industrialization - Slovakia transformed itself into Detroit of the EU, Romania enters the automotive industry in a big way all targeting former USSR and other Asian markets - what is Greece doing in this regard?
