K, i feel the same way i do about when a coworker told me about akamai being a steal at $100... b/c it was down at $180... "what's keeping this stock from being over valued at a couple bucks, let alone $100?"

nothing.

what's to keep this market from looking over valued at 1/2 price?

what will a $1.5 trillion instantaneous reduction in government spending do to the economy?

what will dramatically higher interest rates do to the economy?

what will collapsing housing prices do to the economy?

what will a collapsing economy mean to the markets?

we can't keep spending $2 for every $1 in tax receipts. foreigners are giving us only $200 billion in loans and that number will shrink going forward. that leaves $1.6 trillion unfunded as SS and MC funds will need to be spent on those programs and can't be looted much longer.

if they keep printing to fund the economy, eventually the system collapse as people raid banks for cash that doesn't exist to avoid getting hammered by high inflation.
