Bush, McCain, and the GOP voted against every major renewable energy legislation during their 8 years in power. That's all I need to know about the GOP's commitment to renewable energy. Hell, most GOP members don't believe that the earth is warming and that China is becoming the world's next renewable energy super power. The GOP is so focused on Al Qaeda that they don't understand we're losing on fronts that are far more important to the US' future national security. If we keep moving in this direction, we'll trade our oil dependence for dependence on China for the renewable energy equipment of that we'll need to power our energy needs in the future. The GOP has it's head up it's ass wrt renewable energy and the real threat of China. All they think about is Al Qaeda. They have no other plans.
