I'm sure that SyQuest's current management is aware that their credibility couldn't stand the strain of failing to ship SparQ when they say they will. I believe we should expect to see SparQ in stores in November. In quantity? Who knows?

As for the ideal price points, I think SparQ hits it right on the nose. Kim Edwards has stated that Iomega's goal for Jaz is to get the external drive down to $199. He never said anything about cartridges for 39 bucks (or 99 for a 3-pack), but it's hard to argue with that as a compelling price.

Now the really interesting question is going to be whether or not this product will hit. It sounds like a winner, but you never know.
