That GE ethanol power plant is especially interesting! Given Brazil's rapidly growing economy and rising energy demand, I think you'll be able to use up all that ethanol locally and won't need to export much, if any.

The USA can even send you some corn ethanol to tide you over your current seasonal shortage. But of course you'll have to cut that 20% tax on ethanol imports to Brazil. It was really quite naughty of you to complain for years about the USA import tariff, while never admitting that Brazil does likewise. Tsk tsk... ;)

The Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association, Unica, is calling for the elimination of a 20% import tax on ethanol as domestic stocks are depleting and prices at the pump are on the rise.
