Lance: I agree Dave is quite baised but he must be truthful - correct?
He, unlike the rest of us, puts NPEC, and himself at risk (legally)
if he is providing false or misleading info.. The news releases must
be true as well - correct? The only reason I say this is that
he is the most credible person I can get info from so that is what
I am baseing my personal decisions on.

Here is the info on NPEC's oil:

NPEC released its news of its acquisition of the 300,000 acre oil
property in Ecuador.

Reserves estimates: In place: 1.2 billion barrels
Produced: 120 million barrels
Proven: 16 million barrels
Development: 48 million barrels
Exploration: 82 million barrels

Infrastructure: 628 active wells
Gathering system
Separation and storage facilities
Gas Plant
Refinery only 12 miles away
Pipeline to field
Major port within 90 mile

The percentage share of the net production attributable to NPEC would be
1200 BOPD or USD $24,000 per day gross revenues.

Financing requirements for phase one are in place and the rehabilitation
project is underway. Reserves from oil production are currently being
realized retroactive to July 1, 1996.

Regarding Don - I don't think he'll be in any hurry to get back to NBR
any time soon!
