This means that you support The New World Order!

New?? I support a world where the UN actually is empowered to fulfill it's role in conflict resolution. The UN was founded in 1947, which is probably before you were born, or when you were a small child. It's hardly "new".

That said, I don't support subverting the sovereignty of the US to any global governmental structure that fails to embody similar beliefs and values contained in our constitution.

Actually, given the status of the US as the global "melting pot", we're probably the closest example of what a global government will eventually look like. But that's not going to happen until long after both of us are dead and buried.

So you can "get off" if you want. But look back over the past few hundred years of international "relations" and then reflect how returning to such a world would be with everyone NOW armed with the type of military weaponry we now have.

The cost we will eventually pay if we permit totalitarian/non-democratic regimes to have free rein will be tremendous, economically, militarily, and politically, not to mention the human cost in blood. It's very difficult to achieve economic prosperity in the midst of chaos. And it will be even more difficult to achieve if global stability and order decreases and regional and nationalistic feuds are permitted to fester into outright warfare.

Regime Change: How the CIA put Saddam's Party in Power

BS!! When we put someone in "power", we sell them US weapons systems and send OUR trainers. I don't recall Saddam's regime having much US made equipment. FOLLOW THE MONEY!! (straight to Russia and France).

"The Shah's government was rotten to the core and highly repressive.

How is the current one any different? The Shah never had 1/2 million plastic "keys" to paradise made to pass to Iranian children before they were told to march in front of the Army as human "mine detectors".

Is this your vision for the world?

The FACTS are that American foreign policy ignores human rights violations when the country has oil and the leader is friendly to the USA.

Just like you're ignoring human rights violations and economic exploitation by CHINA and any number of other countries.. Welcome to reality!! Whether it's Capitalism, or Communism, it's just another way of exploiting humanity by the power elite.

But how did you actually hear about what was going on in Equatorial Guinea? Did you read about it in a Chinese newspaper? A Russian broadcast? Did you hear about it from any news media source in E. Guinea?

NO.. you heard about it in a US periodical. Why? Because we believe that such information should be available. We believe our government and corporations should be accountable.

But apparently, FOR YOU, that belief only concerns the US. If it has anything to do with a non-US entity, it's to be ignored.

So get back to me when the USA overthrows and hangs Obiang

So now you want us to play "global policeman" and overthrow obvious corrupt and oppressive governments without UN authorization?

Should Hugo Chavez be next? N. Korea's Kim Jong Il? Yemen? Somalia? Libya?

Can China then overthrow all of these African countries they are currently bribing?

fastcompany.com

I hear a lot of b*tching from you, but you're not tell us how a return to US isolationism is going to make the situation better.
