Gibbs is upping the risk by pre-declaring KSM guilty and saying he will be hung. Holder and Obama did the same. Now the whole country is a tainted jury pool.

I think Bill Kristol is right. At the end of the day, they will wind up trying KSM in a military tribunal in Gitmo because all other options are worse.

Of course they will look like fools. That's because they are fools. The applause of the Left is so dear to them that they can't resist claiming the gold medal before they have even run the race.

Many on the Left won't mind much; they think in symbolic terms anyway, so they weigh announcements more than reality. But even some on the Left understand the difference between holding positions in an adult, thought-through manner, and being a preening fool.
