Yep ,they do. They influence the populace "how" to vote. Take for example health care. America was indoctrinated to vote against its own interest. Even Joe Lieberman played the boogeyman role for big health insurance corporations. At the same time he is in support for everything Israeli, but he failed to disclose to the American public that Israel has socialized medicine. What a democracy, man oh man, we'd like some of that democracy in the good ole USA. en.wikipedia.org
