Doug McFaul, Director of Victory Ventures Inc. is pleased to announce that the airborne geophysical survey of the Syd 1, Syd 2, and Syd 3 properties commenced October 30, 1997. The properties are located to the north of Lesser Slave Lake in the central region of the Buffalo Head Craton in the Province of Alberta.
The airborne geophysical survey is being carried out by Spectra ration Geoscience Corporation, an independent airborne survey company, which was instrumental in the discovery of 16 kimberlite pipes by Ashton Mining of Canada The purpose of the aeromagnetic survey is to identify kimberlite-like anomalies. If geophysical targets are identified, the Company intends to mobilize a detailed ground program in order to investigate the targets for their diamond bearing potential
In addition, representatives from Apex Geoscience Ltd, are presently completing a summary of the existing geological structure of the Lesser Slave Lake area. Apex Geoscience Ltd. will assist the company with technical expertise and analysis of the data received from the airborne geophysical survey.
Victory Ventures Inc. has acquired and controls a 100% interest in seven properties for a total of 892,400 acres, strategically located within or along the boundaries of the Buffalo Head Craton in Alberta, Canada.
