First of all, no one thinks that NAND is forever. As has been said numerous times, there will be a replacement for it sometime in the next 5-10 years. The only question is, what will it be?

However, when you say this:

NAND has endurance and reliability issues that only get worse as cells shrink. That may work for a camera or a MP3 player but on SSDs where there are thousands of writes even hourly if not sooner...

you are being silly, at least if you are referring to the next 3 or 4 years. If you actually have a shred of proof of this allegation, you should write a paper on it. You will save a lot of people a lot of time and money for doing what you claim can't be done.
