Bush came up with that nutty idea. I thought Obama said he was going to correct stuff like that? What happened? Didn't Obama say he was going to correct the Bush years? Looks like he's just piling it on worse. The dems tried to change to 3.5M (could easily become 7M in a double trust) but the reps obstructed (again)...the new Obama budget says that the estate tax will be made permanent at a $3.5 million exemption level per person and a top rate of 45% on taxable estates...if it fails, the estate tax goes back 2001 levels.
