I think I'm just too stressed out by my recent history, including both serious medical and related financial issues, to be patient enough to discuss all this as if it's an interesting theoretical exercise. I understand point one. If you're not interested in a theoretical exercise, I understand. I won't bother you further. The idea that a free market system that relies mostly on private, for-profit insurance companies can be somehow modified to fix it appears, to me, to be bullshit. I think that conclusion is more a function of exhaustion than anything.
