I'm not a climate scientist but I know something about statistics. And there simply isn't enough data over a long enough period of time to draw meaningful conclusions.

That's a silly statement. We have scientists that have used space based observational data over only a 7 year span who have been able to accurately predict that our universe is 13.73 billion years old dating it from the last big bang. And that measure provides for a margin of error of 0.8%. That's pretty damn precise based on only 7 years worth of observational data. news.discovery.com

So don't tell me that you can't measure, with precision, processes that date back billions of years based on a few years of data. The fact is that we can and do measure just those things. Our science is far more advanced than you give it credit for.
