Well, let me give you some detail. The liberals in this country have been fighting for civil rights for blacks, women and gays and lesbians for 60 years.

And at every turn the right wing bigots have fought to stop basic civil rights. Why??

1) The right wing fought with the liberals over passing the 1964 civil rights act, including 54 days of filibustering to stop it. The right wings lack of compassion is breathtaking.

2) The right wing fought against the liberals, AND DEFEATED, the equal rights amendment for women. With the Mormons leading the way to defeat.

3) And the right wing is even now fighting with the liberals over gay marriage and gays in the military. And bush used gay bashing to win his second term by vilifying gay marriage.

60 years of hard core bigotry is what the right wing has shown. And we liberals have had to fight you every step of the way to establish basic human decency i.e. civil rights.

There is something wrong with you right wingers that you cannot seem to understand basic human decency.

In fact who are the ones today champion torture? The right wing. You right wingers behave like wild animals with no apparent ability for compassion or basic human decency!
