That is because there were ONLY TWO DEMOCRAT PRESIDENTS in that period of time after Nixon

And not counting Ford (who was not president for a full term, was never elected to even be VP, and was generally hobbled by the post Watergate fallout) there have been only 3 Republican presidents in the period of time after Nixon. There are small samples all the way around. That's just one more reason why the argument about deficits and parties falls apart.
