Typically hospice is not prescribed without the patient or their legal representative having full knowledge it is care to make the end more comfortable. It sounds like the doctor was a weasel. It also sounds like your friend was not in very good shape, or did not want to be a bother. I am sorry for your friend's condition. I am sorry you have had this bad of an experience.
