2/5/10 Update If they can ban gays from the military, why not ban the Bears (whatever their sexual preference) from Wall Street? Clearly, they're damaging investors' morale and sense of cohesion. Despite an impressive last hour Friday rally both the broad market and biotechs finished lower for the week, although biotechs managed to pull back into the black for the year. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -5.64% YTD (vs. down -5.37% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index closed the week up .28% YTD (vs. up 1.96% YTD a week ago) and the Contest median closed up 1.38% YTD (vs. up 1.97% YTD a week ago). DEWDIL's portfolio held on to first place, closing up 19.39% YTD and GEORGIA's portfolio remained in second place, up 16.57% YTD. At Friday's close, 18 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black and 16 of the 32 were beating the NBI.
