The type of healthcare professional that serves home health and hospice are totally different. While a hospice nurse might make a good home health nurse the inverse is not necessarily true. The fact that your friend suffered at the hands of a weasely doctor is disturbing. Typically the medication regime in hospice is reduced as they are no longer trying to cure the problem. This whole situation smacks of lack of professional concern.
