But mostly I think about moving out of the country when my kids are done with college. My little enclave works well enough. (My power was off for only half an hour despite a major blizzard and I got a nice automated phone call from the power company letting me know it was back on and regretting my inconvenience. Last week I flew for the first time in a long time and the experience was easy and without incident.) My way of dealing is to tune out the politics and just live my life. I had thought about leaving the country when I retired but in the final analysis, that just wasn't very convenient. Maybe in the future. Who knows.
