Arkansas Best Corp. Sells Logisitics Unit For

FORT SMITH, Ark. -- Arkansas Best Corp. (ABFS) sold its Integrated Distribution Inc. unit
for about $620,000 to Wagner Industries Inc., a privately held warehousing and distribution
company in North Kansas City, Mo.
In a press release, Arkansas Best said the sale resulted in a pretax loss of about $2.3 million,
subject to adjustments, which the company reported as discontinued operations in the third
quarter ended Sept. 30.
Integrated Distribution, Little Rock, Ark., is a logistics company providing services that include
truckload, freight consolidation and warehousing.
The sale represents Arkansas Best's exit from the logistics business.
