We'll see. One thing is for sure. The dust will clear from climate gate and the politics will cool. Already the public is losing interest in the whole global warming thing. The public is confused about what is the right thing to believe. So they will lose interest. As they lose interest, the science will continue to build up evidence and the holes in the science will be filled. Bad science will be repudiated and good science will dominate, as it always does. As the politics of it recedes along with public interest, the facts will emerge. Whether it is decades from now or longer, one day we'll all look back and we'll know who was right. We'll know who was right during our lifetimes. I bet it will be those who believe that global warming is a problem, but I'll keep my mind open in case the science proves otherwise. The scientific consensus has been wrong before and it could be wrong now. But I doubt it, based on what I've read.
