I agree on the costs... my daughter has applied to 4 Canadian universities, two very highly regarded but all solid.. I estimate that sub 20K per year including some extra spending dough and residence.. Residence is a big chunk, more than tuition... staying at home would easily be less than half that.. and even cheaper as she can make decent dough as a skating instructor/life guard.. which may not be possible away from home.. It's even cheaper if she goes to Quebec where the tuition is even more heavily subsidized and I can qualify as a landowner ... Looks like for foreign students it is still cheaper than the US for a good university here even though the tuition for foreigners is substantially higher.. I have heard though the the US does have lower priced decent alternatives ?
