You're right. I didn't pull out my almanac. But you've missed the point. The fact is, AMD is closing the gap on performance, they are less than 6 months behind Intel, and their processors cost 25% less than Intel. Intel is LOSING a discernible advantage from both a time to market and performance perspective. And everyone is sick and tired of being held hostage by Intel on the high-end. Intel's pricing strategies are predatory and they don't have the consumer's best interest at heart. They only care about one thing. Lining the Intel coffers with our hard earned money. $1.5B in profit on $6.4B in sales. But thanks to AMD, there is a viable alternative.
