The nat'l guard confiscating weapons post-Katrina (posted variously on youtube) show what they'll do and just how much real resistance they are likely to encounter. It would take a very organized opposition to have any effect, in my opinion, and with the domestic spying, they will know in advance whatever is planned. I guess that would be the 'not pretty' outcome.
