dabum, agreed... I do the same... but in Steve's defense, it did not come naturally to me... I started buying stocks back in the days before the internet and online trading and buying/selling even lots actually did matter in terms of fills and fees.

Took me awhile to get over that back in the 90s, but it was a liberating thing to stop thinking in terms of round lots and instead simply decided exactly how much money I wanted to buy/invest/sell and then calculate how many shares that meant without having to worry about round lots, etc.
