Yeah, I'm just lying about you not being able to state precisely your beef with genetic engineering. How silly of me to lie about that when you could disprove my lie by repeating it .... but then its not a lie and you can't and haven't. Heh.
--------------------------------------------
No one that doesn't understand the biotech patent issues, no. Which apparently includes YOU. If it's so cut and dried I wonder why "Mr. Market" agrees with ME and not you???

Okay, the yahoo quote for INCY doesn't have anything to do with my alleged inability to understand biotech patent issues ...
Re. the reference to Mr Market agreeing with you, thats funny. You haven't put forward anything that Mr Market could agree or disagree with. ----------------------------------------------- Here's some of the incorrect statements you've made relating to the issue:
<<If there has been no new thing developed (created is a loaded term, technically we can't create matter) there would be nothing to patent.>>
Thats correct. There needs to be something new to patent, an invention, discovery, or application. That new thing doesn't have to be newly created DNA that is not part of "God's creation" as you seemed to be saying.
------------------------------------------ <<That companies patent DNA segments isn't the issue. Its whether they are patenting something "naturally occuring".>>
That was a remark in answer to your charge that I was unaware that DNA can be patented. But not as it naturally occurs in existing organisms. Only as it has been modified in some novel way, including being moved from organism to organism.
---------------------------------------- <<Do you think a patent should be awarded covering DNA god created (naturally occuring)?
No. Though I think if there is patenting going on, its of DNA that is not naturally occuring. >>
Yep, thats the same issue again.
If you think there's a mistake there, give an example that illustrates my understanding is incorrect. Ah but you've had chances to do that and haven't.
------------------------------------------ can you tell me a gene that man has created??? No... didn't think so...
I haven't claimed that has happened. ----------------------------------------
And let's go back to (at least used to be) the mother of all patenters, INCY:
incyte.com
Your job... how many of their patents fit the description you claim isn't happening???
Probably none, else you'd be producing examples.
