funny you should mention that.....

it was my BACK that got me going into a much more rigorous fitness routine....i blew a disc a number of years ago and could barely walk....very close to surgery, i did in fact see a neurosurgeon out of desperation who referred me to a mackenzie method practitioner (who did a lot of work for the local NFL team there) and once he got me moving again, i started out with increased walking, then picked up weight training and cycling

i've always found it interesting that dancing doesn't affect your back....but since it doesn't, maybe some dance exercise videos would be fun for you....plenty of them out there (although you might get easily bored with them)
