Ted, > And maybe you will realize that most people who are unemployed don't want to be.

Just because they say they don't want to be unemployed doesn't mean they're trying hard to find a job.

It's all about motivation. Why try hard when the government pays you not to work?

The truth is ten.....you and I and everyone else on this thread who are college educated have very little idea what its like to be poorly skilled and out of a job. Its so easy to blame the people in that position but no matter whose fault it is.....it sucks.

A month ago, they reported in the local paper a woman who stands out in the rain every day downtown with a sign asking for a job. Apparently, she has stood out there for months now. She was a receptionist for a firm for 7 years when she got laid off. She applied to every place she could and got rejected.....no one was hiring. Out of desperation she started standing out on thea street with her sign. The woman is in her 50s neatly dressed.......alone. Frankly, I wish I had her courage.

You need to develop some empathy......the people in this world are not as conniving or lame as you seem think. And more importantly, Jesus loves them!
