At the risk of repetition, as only November and December of 2009 are new slides, watching the progression and recency of the county by county spread of unemployment from low(yellow) to high (black) is staggering.

When one adds about 6 months to a newly unemployed timeframe, it isn't until about the second or third quarter that house payments and credit cards start showing delinquencies from this cyclical cause of default.

Its hard to see it as anything but a tough time for consumers in the next year. The back to back snowstorms in Washington seem like a parody of the economic situation coming.
