Education is, in great part, a way for a person to work less for a given amount of money. Humans being lazy by their own nature will prefer education have transformed it into a sacred cow because this supports his own cause of putting education on a pedestal. It all reinforces the cause and governments will provide education so as to gain votes... There are some education that does not pay back. Those form people who go on to teach the same subjects to the next generation and so it goes. That education acquired only provides a comfortable middle class life for the person. There is little education that will pay a lot more but the person has to be able to stand the discomfort, hassle, hazzards, idiots all around...
