What ever would make you think that I have an "irrational" fear of Palin?

Well .... try these statements for starters!

"Patrick, you're too vested to get it."

and:

"I just posted polls that show her tanking on key issues...you just don't want to get it."

I've previously stated that I am "neutral" in my feelings about Palin. I see her as an interesting "sidebar" in the current political trials. Clearly I have nothing "vested" in her. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to "get".

You continue to sound really defensive to the point of paranoia. How do you arrive at the conclusion that somehow there's something awry with me when I haven't even made any sort of endorsement of her? I have to ask you again, what generates this irrational fear? At ease ..... no need for panic! <G> She's not going to be your next President!!! Stop making my point about irrational fear with your defensiveness.

Regardless..... carry on. Even if you could personally stop being threatened by her there would surely be many others who would happily fill the vacuum created by your absence.

As an aside, I didn't mean to imply that "a sitting Democratic president can be denied the defacto Dem nomination". However, it's obviously not without precedent that an incumbent can be challenged within their own party for the nomination (read LBJ in 1968). He ultimately withdrew. Obama won't. Hillary will just defeat him for the party's nomination. Even she will represent a shift toward the political center that most want.

I enjoyed the dialogue but we're both probably getting a little repetitive and taking up space on this board. Best wishes to you.

Pat
