Well, if that's really the case, and it's really bad enough the premiums have to go up that much, I don't see how you can fault Anthem.

Not as sure as you that mandatory insurance is the answer, though. It would be a temporary measure. You'd get a one-time infusion of healthy policy holders and that would lower rates. But the cycle would continue, just at a lower level.

Huh? If you add healthier people to the pool paying premiums you would lower the total cost. Nothing cyclical about that... unless we stop having babies for a while.
