No no. The GOP is certainly justified in using every conceivable tactic to slow down or stop budget busting bills. I'm all for that.

However, we all have to admit that if we want to get control of the budget deficits, then we have to reign in spending on health care, entitlement spending in general, and military spending. The alternative is huge tax hikes, which I'm pretty sure most of us on this thread, really don't want to see.

So in order to do the above, the GOP needs to actively work with Dems to get something done. They can't just continue to play the game of stopping any progress just to make Obama and the Dems look bad. That may look like a good strategy to get more votes in November, but it isn't doing anything to attract Independents and Centrists to their cause. I know it's a real turnoff to me. It makes me think the GOP is just interested in power, not in solving problems.
