Well, in my house, we all felt Reagan and Bush Sr were both very good, common sense, honorable Presidents. I still have a soft spot for Gingrich too. I particularly liked his recent new manifesto. However, I'm in the minority. I simply don't believe in defending everyone in the Republican Party or any party that I recently voted for. Bush Jr was a bad President. Palin is an idiot. Steele is an embarrassment. On the flip side, Feinstein is an environmental terrorist. Pelosi is a far left liberal. Rangel is a dangerous hack. And Reid is a spineless incompetent. You seem to have a pretty good mind for analysis, although we don't usually agree on things. I'm surprised that you don't take a step back more often to criticize your own party. If more people were willing to criticize the direction of the GOP, then maybe they'd still be in power. Uniform thinking and low tolerance for dissent is not a good recipe for maintaining power in a Democracy.
