I think we're in a post-war era. You can't have a total, WWII style war against countries that have nuclear weapons. You can't use nuclear weapons on countries that don't have them. The only kind of actual wars you can have are the kinds of wars we've had since WWII - stinking little wars that are expensive, costly and unwinnable in the end - because even if you win, you gain NOTHING.

China took over Tibet, but that wasn't a war. You notice they don't waste THEIR blood and treasure on that folly. Russia seems to have learned the lesson if Afghanistan. We're the only fools still launching wars.
