We really need to look at EVERYTHING in regards to healthcare.

I wasn't really that familiar with the vagaries of healthcare until my wife went to the emergency room last December.

She had extreme pain in her leg. She actually came to tears and her colleagues insisted that she go to the emergency room.

It was like 6:30 in the morning and and there weren't a lot of options.

It turned out that her pain was caused by difficulties with her back. They didn't really come to that conclusion in the emergency room and they didn't really do ANYTHING to relieve her pain, but today we got ANOTHER bill from that emergency room visit. I think it's like the 10th. One was for 12 bucks, one was for 8 bucks, one was for 388 bucks and today we got one for 190 bucks. What really AMAZES me with these bills is not how much they are charging US, but how much they were charging OVERALL. I think that one emergency room visit may have cost $10,000 DOLLARS.

Isn't there something ABSURD about that???
