Not really, for reasons I've detailed multiple times here.


So you're saying this is a lie:



It would be insane - If we not only spent much more than our enemies and potential enemies combined, but also spent enough to be a huge burden on our country.

You clearly do not understand the definition of insanity.

That burden is measured best by percentage of the economy, and its much lower than it has been in the past.

The burden is significant enough to make a considerable contribution to the annual budget deficit we experience each year. If our defense spending was in line with other nations, then our deficit would be much smaller.
