But I really can't complain too much about being stuck in the house, or even losing the water -

My sister was without power for three days (with only the fireplace for heat, fortunately they had a lot of available wood.).

I've lost power including heat in past winters, and this winter I lost water service for a week, and I think I'd rather lose power than the water service.

Other people where stranded on the road for a long time, others lost power at their house for longer than my sister did. Also some buildings collapsed from the snow on the roofs (I specifically heard about two houses, two firehouses, a church, and a supermarket, but it was probably more extensive than just that.)

Definitely, a lot more......every nite, the news tells of more buildings collapsing.
