You don't get me at all, tejek. The Chinese have a famous book on how to beat your enemies with economic warfare. I believe we have all the military we need right now. We could freeze military spending at today's levels and we'd still be fine.

But we absolutely cannot continue to borrow trillions to spend on wars going after Al Qaeda and nation building in other countries. We need to invest heavily in our own future, so that we can compete effectively against China. And we have to make China pay for their currency manipulation and for their cyber warfare. I'm not worried about a military conflict with China...at least not yet. I'm worried about the economic conflict that they have been waging and winning against us, while we don't pay it the slightest attention, because we're worried about finding a man in a cave somewhere in the middle east.
