Yes, I have thought for a while our future may be growing food for the increasing world population. We are the bread basket of the world. I expect prices for food to keep rising.

So we also need to get rid of farm subsidies which are nuts IMO.

We will always do well technologically, but will probably need to learn to be a bit more responsible than the "conspicuous consumtion" we have gotten used to.
