My wife had an MRI for her back and we had to pay a couple hundred or something but I learned that the MRI itself had cost about $3300.

Even if an MRI machine cost $500K you'd only have to do about 150 MRI's to break even on the machine and everything after that would be profit.

There's "something" out of whack.

I'm thinking of going to India if I need a surgery. Apparently they have great doctors and only charge about 10% of what they charge here.
