This is an example of what my family & I call put-down poetry. Its one of the ways we show love for each other.. Ode To My Little Brother ( The Monkeyboy ) Well my little brother Its time you face my wrath By the time I get through with you You'll want to take a toaster to your next bath So your having a bad time Always being number two As for being superior You haven't got a clue Sit back & read this poem And take this verbal spanking For it is I who help you along And deserve all your praise & thanking So as I make my way On the ladder to the top It is I who plants the seeds in you Like a farmer trying yo grow a crop I pull all your strings I am The Puppet Master Without all my help Your life would be a disaster Cause I am your one true Master The only one that you serve How dare you screw with me You really have some nerve For I am the Almighty I could crush you like a grape I even named you Monkeyboy You stupid little ape!! The Boogieman
