"Obama's just not that great" He's a great improvement from Bush, and he was handed the worst plate of shit of any president in my lifetime, but I don't see greatness either. Close only counts in horseshoes. I think the only type of president who could have succeeded with health care reform would have been a Lyndon Johnson type, who knew all the dirt, sugar and levers needed with every single pol to get their votes and was willing to use them all to get it done. I expect the (D)'s to lose at least one legislative branch this year, and it'll be entirely their own fault. To get health care passed, we needed political courage, with more than a few legislators from conservative places willing to take the bullet for a great legislative accomplishment. They aren't there. The (R)'s aren't even worth talking about. They expect government to fail and work to make it so.
