PC is killing us in more ways than one. I am thinking hard about this. Considering their new found support for accepting homosexuality in our armed forces, I have lost all trust and confidence in former SECDEF Cheney and former Chairman of JCS Shalikashvili.
I have reason to believe, both have homosexual children. Is that somehow the basis of their new found motivation?

The message is clear enough. Our generation and our values are being swept aside for a new kind of modernism in our armed forces. Is this new point of view being supported for PC reasons and therefore personal gain? I cannot prove that, but am highly suspicious. I doubt the old men suddenly in support of homosexuality in the US Military have been converted to a gay lifestyle. At minimum this is pandering to young civilian adults. What else is there but personal political and/or financial gain for themselves or their children for doing that?

My family has a long record of supporting the US Military even to the point of dying in combat. My wife, my children, and their spouses and children, my elderly and now blind (WWII Vet) father, my six younger siblings, their spouses and children and grandchildren all look to me as the family patriarch and to provide guidance on difficult personal and military issues.

A minister I respect taught a bible class in Fayetteville last year that I attended. He read the relevant bible passages and explained that the scriptures direct us to avoid even the appearance of evil. He explained the Lord does not expect us to fix evil. He does expect us to avoid it.

The book The Rise And Fall Of The Roman Empire comes to mind as does Greek history. Both Greek and Roman societies were profoundly patriarchal. Eventually they also became completely tolerant of homosexuality even to the point of abusing and physically harming children. Both societies collapsed.

The recent public examples set by some members of the Catholic Clergy demonstrated clearly enough the predatory instincts of the gay lifestyle practitioners and the damage they inflict on the young. And that they do it solely for their own personal gratification and without any concern for their young victims. In my mind that is pure evil.

Long ago I decided to not set aside my own nor my family's personal morals and religious beliefs to support an individual or any organization that lowers their moral standards to an unacceptable level.

My family looks to me to set and maintain standards...not lower them to meet an idiots political campaign promises.

I fear decay and corruption for personal financial gain, and now morale depravity have permeated the highest levels of our military leadership. We already know where our President/Commander in Chief stands on this issue.

As family leader, I know I need to be in front of what seems an irreversible and tragic decision making process. Today I will be advising one grandson and one niece of military age to set aside everything I told them about serving in the army, at least until SECDEF Gates and JCS Chairman Admiral Mullen announce what they intend to support.
