M$ reacted nicely to put Vista behind them with the successful W7. M$ can recover in the mobile segment if it gets WMobile 7 done properly. The signs are encouraging.
Sure, but their track record is not very good - although all this time until recently most people have been giving them the benefit of the doubt - what shows it succinctly is that Apple ad "Promises" - PC guy is saying their OS will not have any problems the preceding version had. "Trust me."
OT:
Kind of like American cars up about the late 80's. I would say quality improved greatly in the 90's - before, except for individual exceptions, getting over 100k miles without major repair was fairly impossible. But still Japanese cars are still ahead (but's lets grouse about Toyota's acceleration problem as we do with Apple, eh?).
