John--Eternal life and life after death are not synonomous terms. Eternal life is a term used to represent the actual life of God. The term eternal helps the human mind to grasp one essential dimension of God's life. Although life after death(or biological existence) and life forever are characteristics of God's life, they do not the fullness of God. Christ came that man may have life--God's life within us. Our minds in this life are not capable of grasping the many dimensions of God. What man does grasp, he must grasp with the help of revelation and the Holy Spirit. Intellectual and philosophical games are the palythings of those without revelation. Christ is the source of all wisdom and knowledge--that says it all. Since the beginning of Wisdom is the fear of the Lord, man is unable to take the second step without the first.

Again, Christ is not specualtion but reality. He who seeks Him with all his heart will find Him.
